Lewes council turns down Savannah Road beacon

Crossing Savannah Road at Second Street in Lewes can sometimes feel like a game of Frogger: the lane configuration makes it difficult for drivers to see pedestrians in the crosswalk. The city has tried to rectify the problem by placing pedestrian flags on either side of the street and installing a cautionary sign in the middle of the road.
