Firefighters responded to a barn fire Jan. 17 off Beaver Dam Road near Indian Mission Road. The fire cast an orange glow to the sky at about 6 p.m. when firefighters from Indian River, Lewes and Millsboro arrived, according to the Indian River Fire Volunteer Fire Co. website.
