In an effort to reduce congestion and improve safety, Van Dyke Avenue in Dewey Beach is about to get a makeover. During a Sept. 11 town council meeting, Marc Appelbaum, Dewey Beach town manager, presented town commissioners a preliminary drawing of a traffic redesign for the bayside parking lot bordered to the north by Hyatt Place and to the south by The Cove condominiums.
