Supersized flag dominates Dewey skyline July 4

Dewey celebrated July 4 with fireworks, but it was a 30-foot-by-60-foot American flag flying all day at Northbeach along Rehoboth Bay that stole the show. The huge flag could be seen across bay and towered over the crowds in Dewey. It was flown to raise money for Sons of Amvets Post 2 of Millsboro. Lewes resident Alex Dera owns the flag.
