Georgetown man fined for shooting deer out-of-season

A Georgetown man, 25, was fined $3,442 and his hunting license revoked for two years for shooting two deer out-of-season. William Betts was charged June 29 with two counts each of hunting white-tailed deer during a closed season, possession of unlawfully taken antlered deer and wanton waste of a game animal, said John McDerby of the Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement.
