Police pursuit ends safely

Route 1 traffic came to a standstill June 30 for a police pursuit on the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal Bridge. Dewey Beach Police Sgt. Cliff Dempsey was in slow pursuit of a tiny fawn as it pranced over the bridge, apparently in search of its mother.
