A car crashed into a utility pole Nov. 1 along Route 24, knocking out power for some residents in the area for about two hours. The car ran into a pole at 2:40 p.m. on Route 24 in the Angola area, said Jeremy Tucker, spokesman for Delaware Electric Cooperative. About 900 people were without power ranging from 30 minutes to two hours, he said. "It takes time to replace and pole and restring the wire," Tucker said.
