More than 3,500 plunge for 25th Special Olympics benefit

The 25th annual Special Olympics Delaware Polar Bear Plunge presented by Wawa saw 3,501 Bears raise a record $820,000. The air temperature was 45 degrees and the water temperature 43. In the event's 25-year history, more than $9.12 million has been raised. The organization benefits more than 3,700 special needs athletes in Delaware.
